DECLARACIÓNSTATEMENT
Fotografío porque el proceso me hace sentir bien: salir a la calle, manejar la cámara, deambular, interaccionar con el entorno, imaginarme la foto, sorprenderme con ciertos momentos, esperar lo que probablemente no pasará, y sorprenderme cuando pasa.
Suelo prestar atención a la geometría, a la simetría, a las yuxtaposiciones humorísticas y a aquellos momentos en que lo ordinario de repente se siente ligeramente fuera de lugar. Siempre sigo mi instinto de encontrar un poco de orden…
I photograph because the process makes me feel good: stepping out onto the street, handling the camera, wandering, interacting with the surroundings, picturing the shot, being surprised by certain moments, waiting for what will probably never happen, and being surprised when it does.
I pay close attention to geometry, structure, humorous juxtapositions, and those moments when the ordinary suddenly feels different, or slightly off. I always follow my instinct to find order in its chaos…
